Zero waste agriculture (ZWA) is a type of sustainable
agriculture which optimizes use of the five natural kingdoms that is plants,
animals, bacteria, fungi and algae to produce bio diverse food, energy and
nutrients in a synergistic integrated cycle of profit making process where the
waste of each process becomes the feed stock for another process.
Zero waste
agriculture preserves local indigenous systems and existing agrarian cultural
values and practices.
Sustainable agriculture integrates three main goals, environmental health, economic profitability and social and economic equity. In Adikarya, finally we have managed to build the Biogas plant to complete our zero waste farming cycle.

All the waste materials on the plantation is
decomposed and put back in the soil as manure. Weeds and other biomass from the
plantation are finely chopped and mixed with cow dung and water and put back in
the soil as manure. For Integrated farming process we provides the technology
for biogas digester the heart of the Zero waste Agriculture system.
Advantages
Advantages
- Optimise food production in an ecological sound manner.
- Reduces water consumption through and recycling and reduced evaporation.
- Provides energy security through the harvesting of bio methane (biogas).
- Provides climate change relief through the substantial reduction in green house gas emissions from both traditional agriculture practice and fossil fuel usage.
- Reduces the use of pesticides through natural remedies and bio-pesticides.
- Reduce the use of synthetic fertilisers through the use of composting techniques such as vermi composting, green manuring etc.
The Biogas cycle will work as below:
